Danish tourist attractions’ quality label

Danish Tourist Attractions is a quality labelling scheme intended to highlight and develop the best Danish attractions. The scheme makes it simple and easy for tourists in Denmark to find clear information on the experiences, facilities and services at the individual attractions.

The participating tourist attractions will be awarded a quality label when a number of minimum requirements have been met.

If the attraction also applies for a classification, from one to five stars can be awarded. All stars guarantee exceptional quality. The individual attraction is assessed by independent experts, and user surveys are also included to assist in the assessment of whether the attraction provides a high quality experience.

The meanings of the various star classifications are given below.

T
An attraction which has fulfilled a number of minimum requirements and been awarded a quality label.

*
A good attraction at local level.

**
An attraction of very high value at local level.

***
An attraction of very high value at regional level.

****
A sterling attraction of very high value at national level.

*****
A sterling attraction at international level.

The association "Danish Tourist Attractions" was established as a part of the government’s tourist policy action plan. The initiative was supported by the Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs, VisitDenmark and the Labour Market Holiday Fund.
