Activities outside the meeting room

It is no secret that the shared experience of a team-building exercise brings a group closer together, especially when it is a uniquely Danish adventure.

Denmark has much to offer when it comes to spending some quality time outside the meeting room. Imagine participating in a scavenger hunt through the centre of Copenhagen, crewing a Danish schooner, or “zorbing” (rolling in a giant ball) on the beaches of South East Jutland.

Or how about becoming Vikings for a day? Take part in some rough-and tumble Viking games and a genuine Viking battle. The list of innovative, unusual team building possibilities are almost unlimited. After all, good experiences are something you remember!

Looking for unique activities to fit perfectly with your dream incentive trip?

Some destinations excel in stunning landscapes, others offer beautiful waterfronts, and yet others tempt with a pulsating and exciting metropolitan. Denmark offers all of this and more!
Few countries can give you as rich and varied possibilities as Denmark can.
To name but a few, how about:

• A sailing trip on board a historic schooner
• Drinking mead and hanging out with the Nordic gods at a genuine Viking feast
• Canoeing & kayaking at one of the many crystal-clear lakes
• Shooting, climbing or playing ball games at DGI-byen in Copenhagen, then finishing off with a well-deserved relaxation in the Jacuzzi.
• Playing golf on one of the many excellent golf courses
• Challenging yourself by steering a lightning-fast Zodiac speed boat
• Fishing, windsurfing or kayak polo
• Creating your own 3-course gourmet meal at Bojesens Cooking School
• Discovering Copenhagen on wheels – by bike
• Zorbing
• Landrover off-roading in Europe’s only desert
• Hot air ballooning
• And much more…

There’s a reason that the world-famous statue of the Little Mermaid gazes longingly out to sea. Danish culture has always been linked to the water. In fact, our compact island nation has over 5,000 kilometres of beaches – more than California!

Make Denmark’s nautical heritage a part of your meeting or event. Cruise Roskilde Fjord aboard a recreated Viking ship, paddle canoes on the crystal-clear lakes of Jutland or enjoy an evening outing on a canal boat in Copenhagen’s historic Nyhavn district. Looking for something sportier? How about fishing, windsurfing or kayak polo? The options are as vast as the sea itself.
If it's team building on dry land you're after then why not try your hand at climbing and abseiling down the disused elevator shafts of the "Flakfortet" fortress. Or sign up for some indoor activities at the "DGI-byen" centre and follow your days shooting, climbing and ball games with a relaxing spa or sauna. Maybe even go car or cart racing at the Sturup raceway.

For the golfing enthusiasts amongst your group, there are inumerable possibilities. The greater Copenhagen region is home to 35 golf courses, each with its own distinctive character, design and degree of difficulty, ranging from 9 holes over 18 holes to 27 holes. Read more…

The Danish capital is famous for the quality and sheer number of its restaurants, which can cater to every taste and to groups of any size.

No fewer than 6 different restaurants in Copenhagen have been awarded at least one Michelin Star.

After hours, Copenhagen's nightlife is rich and varied and often lasts until dawn. Whether your taste is for cosy bars and cafés, classical music, rock, disco, jazz, stand-up comedy, theatre or nightclubs, Copenhagen has a place to suit your taste.

For real music-lovers, Denmark ranks in a class of its own with more than 100 rock, folk and jazz festivals every year and a lively international concert scene even beyond the capital.

Copenhagen’s jazz scene has an enviable international reputation, and there are also several excellent blues and rock clubs in the city.

• The Danish monarchy is the oldest in the world

• There are 60 theatres and 6 symphony orchestras in the Copenhagen – Malmö region

• Denmark is famous for its numerous festivals, including Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Roskilde Festival, Hamlet Festival at Kronborg and Copenhagen Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.

Looking for a destination that will be inspiring and motivate your group’s next incentive trip? A destination that offers it all: A nice waterfront, both land- and water-based activities, beautiful scenery, interesting cultural attractions and a pulsating city life along with a safe environment?

Copenhagen sample itinerary:

Day 1

the day with an untraditional city tour, kayaking around the canals of Copenhagen. Enjoy lunch at one of the many waterside restaurants.

After lunch, go for a round of golf at one of Copenhagen’s many championship standard golf courses.

Dinner can be enjoyed at the Paul restaurant, one of Copenhagen’s 11 Michelin star restaurants, located in the picturesque Tivoli Gardens. After these exhilarating activities, those of you left with any energy can go explore Copenhagen’s pulsating night life.

Day 2

Your group gets picked up by a zodiac speedboat right outside your hotel, and you travel up to 100 km/hr out to one of Copenhagen’s many harbour fortresses. Here, an exciting day of team-building commences, testing both mind and body. Activities can include rappelling, battleship navigation and treasure hunts. Make an impressive return to Copenhagen by helicopter.

For dinner, try an untraditional Viking evening at the Valhalla Tivoli restaurant, or for a more classic evening dinner, Hamlet’s Castle north of Copenhagen is highly recommended.
