The brand new Business Lounge at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel in Copenhagen is the first of its kind in Denmark – a relaxed, comfortable, exclusive environment where business travelers can work, watch TV or enjoy a snack. The sleek, functional lounge is the result of a collaboration between two of Denmark’s design leaders: architect Henning Larsen and interior design firm GUBI.
International visitors are getting to know GUBI, a household name in Denmark for nearly 30 years. Founded by husband and wife Gubi and Lisbeth Olsen, GUBI is known for its “functional furniture with an innovative touch,” found everywhere from the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York to the offices and conference rooms of businesses throughout the world. Among the firm’s other notable projects are the interiors of the excellent and enormously popular Danhostel in central Copenhagen, which prove that even budget accommodations can have a superb sense of style.
