We claim that Denmark is a world class golfing country. But please don’t take our word for it!

You are positively surprised when you try the Danish courses. The standard is much higher than you might expect. There are many excellent courses in varied landscapes, with rolling hills, forests and heather, as well as courses surrounded by golden cornfields and courses featuring strategic lakes and streams. The Danes love golfing. You can feel that. I’ll be back!
Danish golf is like the Little Mermaid: soft, curvaceous and an artistic experience. Excellent standard and outstanding hospitality. And the prices? Value for money. To visit Denmark without playing at Rungsted – and several other of the best courses – is like bacon without the eggs!
What do we know about Denmark? Hans Christian Andersen, Carlsberg, the Prince of Denmark, Legoland, bacon, the Great Dane, Tuborg, the Vikings, the Little Mermaid, Peter Schmeichel and Thomas Bjørn. Now we also know Danish golf! The variety of golf courses is fantastic and their quality is excellent.
My golfing visit to Denmark turned out to be one of the best golfing holidays in my long life as a golfer! Great value for money.
Golfing is still unspoilt in Denmark. It is cordial, friendly and without affectation. The prices of food, beverages and accommodation are also pleasant surprises.
Denmark must be ranked as a dark horse in the race for the next golfing holiday.
We have always loved our sister nation Denmark – even though our love has sometimes been unrequited. Now we love Denmark even more, because now almost half a million Swedish golfers can visit excellent Danish golf courses, experience the special Danish hygge and comfort, and they can eat and drink at reasonable prices – basically, they can have an excellent holiday in Denmark.
An increasing number of German golfers visit Denmark. There are three reasons for this: firstly, most golf clubs in Denmark have a very liberal attitude to handicaps. Secondly, the standard of the golf courses is excellent and, thirdly, many courses are located close to the sea or in areas that have always been very popular with Germans.
I visited four Danish golf courses in North Zealand. Excellent courses, but the greatest surprise was that there were hardly any players on the courses. In Japan, courses of such a high standard would have required booking three months in advance – and payment of a sum 6-8 times as high!
Denmark. Enjoy! You will probably try to avoid the many lakes and water hazards on Danish golf courses, but you shouldn’t deprive yourself of the nineteenth hole. It’s sheer delight.
