New Scandinavian Cooking
with Claus Meyer


Claus Meyer will host ‘New Scandinavian Cooking’, a Nordic food and travel television series whose Denmark focused episodes started airing on PBS, September 22, 2007. The 13-program series is set in Denmark’s most scenic locations and features unique local produce, top quality producers and one of a kind personalities. The series highlights interesting aspects of Danish cuisine, gastronomy and culture through innovative cooking and rich imagery.


One of Denmark’s best known food personalities, chef and culinary entrepreneur Claus Meyer is one of the pioneers of New Nordic cuisine. Claus Meyer is also author of a series of cookbooks, lecturer and professor of food science at the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University, television cooking-show host, and owner of two Michelin star restaurant noma in Copenhagen.


A line of Meyerfood products called Nordisk will soon be available for purchase in the USA, at Whole Foods stores on the east coast.
