This unique experience begins even before you enter the museum. Follow the sloping bridge down into the former dry dock between Kronborg Castle and The Culture Yard and enter a fabulous underground museum, designed by the world-renowned Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) architects.
Dramatic exhibition design
Here you will meet a colourful world of numerous exhibitions telling the story of Denmark, as one of the leading maritime nations both past and present. The museum’s rich collections are evocatively and dramatically exhibited with large video projections on the architecture. Here you can see, listen and interact as you discover the maritime world.
