Broholm Park

Gehen Sie einen Spaziergang im Broholm Park und lassen Sie sich in eine andere Zeit versetzen.

Throughout history, Broholm's garden and park not only provided a beautiful setting for the old manor but also offered plenty of outdoor activities for the Sehested family. There were tennis and bowling courts, and it was easy to find a peaceful spot to sit with a fishing rod. From the house's garden side, one could row across the lake to the small gazebo, where afternoon tea was often served.

Storm damage, Dutch elm disease, and a certain degree of neglect have taken their toll on the old garden. However, a renovation based on the garden architect C. Th. Sørensen's ideas from the 1950s has begun, so that Broholm's guests can once again enjoy the old magnificent solitary trees, historic monuments, carp ponds - in short, everything that characterizes a beautiful manor garden.

The Fairy Tale Trail

The Fairy Tale Trail takes you through the old English-inspired castle park with canals and islands. The park from the mid-1800s was an open romantic garden with only a few trees, as it also served as grazing land for the castle's many cattle. Now the park has grown, and an exciting forest nature with both young and dead trees creates a wilderness, with a great diversity of animals and plants.
