The Danish Architecture Centre (DAC) is located in Copenhagen and is the main exhibition space in Denmark for architecture. You can experience a broad range of exhibitions and join one of their many architecture tours through Copenhagen.
Apart from the exhibitions, DAC offers a wide range of activities. Workshops, debates and guided tours are constantly generating new ideas and inspirations.
The shop has the largest selection of books on architecture and city planning to be found in Denmark. If you are looking for a gift or something special to bring home, it also offers a fine assortment of Danish design.
If you get hungry, the café has a very popular brunch and lunch menu coupled with a splendid view of the city and the harbour.
The exhibitions change every two-three months and typically have either an overarching theme or a special focus on a Danish or international architect.
The exhibitions generally explore what architecture means to us in our everyday lives or in society as a whole. They seek to communicate this in an interactive and engaging way that sometimes also make active use of the surrounding city space.
Architecture tours of Copenhagen run during the summer. When the sun starts to shine in Copenhagen, DAC moves out into the city. Join a Sunday afternoon walk in English at 14:00 and explore old or new parts of the city.
If you want to explore the city on you own, you can find podwalks and podruns on DACs website that will take you on a walking/running tour whilst telling you about the architecture you pass by.
