Caspar Peter Bügel was born on 4 March 1759 in Hamburg. On 11 November 1809 he buys Ringsted Monastery from Jørgen Qvistgaard as an investment.
He was a very wealthy man who invested his fortune in mansions in Copenhagen and 6 vessels on the oceans. His eldest son, however, was a big spender and therefore Casper Peter Bugel transformed the investment of the Monastery into an entailed property in order to secure the fortune for future generations. Caspar Peter Bügel dies in 1817 and is put in the burial mound in 1820.
