Danhostel Faxe

Danhostel Faxe is located on the very edge of Faxe Kalkbrud, the biggest limestone quarry in Europe. The breathtaking view is framed by green areas, and along with our outdoor fireplace, it provides the perfect setting for our guests to get cozy with friends and family and enjoy their stay. Geomuseum Faxe is our neighbor, and it’s the perfect activity for those interested in learning more about the limestone quarry, fossils, and the history behind it.

The hostel has a very central placement, just a two-minute walk from the center of Faxe City, where you’ll find supermarkets, clothing stores, public transportation and more.

The surrounding cities are filled with exciting activates, for example a trip to the famous Forest Tower, if you’d like to do something active, or a trip to Faxe Ladeplads beach and harbor for a relaxing time by the water. These activities are primarily 5-15 minutes away by car, but if you want to explore a bigger city, the beautiful and historic city of Køge is only 30 minutes away.

At Danhostel Faxe we have 17 rooms with private bathrooms, and two communal rooms. The common facilities include a TV room with boardgames, WIFI and a fully equipped kitchen all free of charge. Dogs are allowed in four of the rooms, and we have free parking with the opportunity to charge your electric vehicles.

Danhostel Faxe is located in the heart of the city and yet scenic with an incredibly beautiful view of Faxe Kalkbrud, where you can go exploring for the 63 million years old shark teeth and fossils.
