Hans Hansen started producing ice cream in Hillerød in 1922. As the business grew, Hans Hansen's son moved into the premises of the old co-operative dairy Horn Herreds Mejeri in Lyngerup, where the Hansen family still produce ice cream to this day. The ice cream shop is open to visitors where its possible to see the ice cream being made and to buy this special local delicacy. Hansens Ice Cream Shop is open from 3rd April - 12th September.
