The Library in Nyborg

18 The Library

Erected on the site of the old Garrison Commander’s residence, the Public Library is one of Nyborg’s few examples of Modernism. It was built in 1938-39 by Erik Møller and Flemming Lassen, the winners of an architects’ competition in 1935. The later well-known furniture designer, Hans J. Wegner, provided the furnishings.
