Randal Forest and New Forest form a big green wedge through the northern outskirts of Fredericia. The forests were planted in the 1990s to maintain a green structure that divides Fredericia into districts and to creates natural distance between the industrial area and residential area.
The nature area varies with lakes, open natural areas and forest areas. Animal are grazing the open areas, helping to create good living conditions for animals and plants.
The forests are publicly available via footpaths. The area is home to an enclosed dog park, a nature playground and an observation tower from which you can get a nice view over the city.
