Catch in the surf - Løkken Maritime Museum

We collect things that the sea has washed up on the beach and fish at the water's edge (the surf).

Exciting environment-days at Løkken Coastal Fisheries Museum

Local park ranger shows and tells about coastal vegetation and sea creatures, as well as the formation of the coast and the life in the sea off Løkken.

We collect things that the sea has washed up on the beach and fish at the water's edge (the surf). The catch is collected in a basin. And finally, we cook the catched prawns and eat them on the spot.

The former rescue station in Løkken is today set up as a museum and is known as the Coastal Fisheries Museum. It is the building that houses the 7.5-tonne coastal boat Bent II. There is an opportunity to get on board the coastal boat and hear about fishing tools and rescue equipment that were used in coastal fishing.

You will get wet!

So here comes a piece of advice... Children must be in accordance with adults. It is recommended to wear swimwear when going into the water with fishing gear.
