Christmas salon in Møllehavehuset about A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

24 Nov: Salon with Lise Lotte Frederiksen about Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’

Christmas salon in Møllehavehuset

Can literature change the state of the world?

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is nothing short of a masterpiece. It was written at a time when Charles Dickens was in financial difficulties and had to come up with something new and different. The Christmas Carol was written in 6 weeks and sold like hotcakes.

In her lecture, Dickens scholar Lise Lotte Frederiksen will demonstrate what Dickens can do better than anyone else. At the same time, she will talk about the great hardship and poverty of the Victorian era and the social commitment that was Dickens' hallmark throughout his life.
