Create, play and discover the Bloomsbury world at Nivaagaard’s summer workshop
Celebrate friendship, creativity and colourful imagination in this summer’s workshop at Nivaagaard Collection – open to both children and adults.
A workshop full of play and artistic freedom
This year’s summer workshop invites visitors to explore the playful and expressive world of the Bloomsbury Group. Make friendship portraits, dress-up dolls and fabric figures – with or without templates. Thread, glue and colours are ready for imaginative hands.
A vibrant universe for all generations
Both children and grown-ups are welcomed into Bloomsbury’s artistic universe. At the centre of the workshop stands a dollhouse inhabited by Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant – colourfully decorated in the group’s signature style, always open to new friendships.
Extend the experience with art and literature
A cosy reading corner offers English books and magazines for quiet moments, and activity sheets guide children through the Bloomsbury exhibition and the museum’s art collection.
Extra experiences in the park
Round off your visit in Nivaagaard’s beautiful park, where artist Ann Lislegaard’s sound installation of endangered birdsong invites exploration. In the Word Reserve, rare words bloom alongside new ones planted by young voices.
