Langelands Museum – Wednesday fun and games all summer long
Every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in July and early August, Langelands Museum opens its doors to fun and creative activities for children.
Discover history in new ways, create your own works of art and help bring a midgard serpent to life!
2 JULY – Step into the spotlight as an artist
Are you ready to create your own works of art? Be inspired by Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti's long-limbed figures and make imaginative mini sculptures with your own unique style.
9 + 30 JULY – We make shrink plastic
Find ideas in the exhibition A World of Plastic and make beautiful key rings or pendants. You can draw your own designs – or use some of the ready-made templates. Everything will be shrunk into small works of art that you can take home with you.
16 JULY + 6 AUGUST – We paint on beach stones and mini canvases
What on earth is that? The Midgard Serpent has crawled up from the depths and settled outside the museum! Help it grow big and scary – or instead make beautiful nature prints with leaves and flowers on small canvases.
23 JULY – We're going on a guided audio walk
Discover the history of Rudkøbing from a child's perspective! Join us on a guided audio walk for the whole family – we'll be leaving from the museum at 10:30 a.m., and the tour will last approx. 60 minutes. You can also paint a beach stone for the Midgard Serpent between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

More to experience
After the activities, you can explore the museum's exciting exhibitions, which convey the history of Langeland.
Also, stop by Langeland Library, where there will be free children's activities every weekday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. during weeks 28 and 29. Here, you can fold your own cool paper planes and propellers with lots of materials and inspiration.
If you want even more history and experiences, the Cold War Museum Langeland is an obvious destination. The fort also offers child-friendly activities throughout the summer and is only a short drive from Rudkøbing.
