Shanty festival in Marstal

The festivities start on Monday 16 September at 14, when six beautiful schooners arrive in Marstal. On board the ships are nine shanty choirs, mainly from Germany.

At 15:30 everyone is welcomed and from 16-22:30 you can experience shanties and sailor songs. The local sailor choir Marstal Småborgerlige Sangforening will also perform.

On Tuesday 17 September, all shanty choirs will perform from 11-22:30. The ships depart on Wednesday 18 September at 11.

The event takes place at Det Røde Pakhus on Honnørkajen at Marstal Harbour and is free and open to the public. Det Røde Pakhus will set up a stage and sell drinks and food.
