This week, VisitDenmark's Business Events Team is rebadging into 'Business Events Denmark' on all its communication platforms, including its recently reshaped site (previously and its hugely popular Twitter profile now dubbed @BizEventsDK (formerly @MeetDenmark).

The exercise is done to underline the Danish events team's strong affiliation with the B2B segment, signal a greater independence from the national tourism organisation's leisure travel business and is line with a worldwide trend seen within the business events industry.

Steen Møller, Head of Business Events Denmark, elaborates on the strategic choice and the signalling effect of the changes made:

- We've been looking at doing this exercise for quite some time and feel that the right moment has come. Our new name signals that we care for all clients with an interest in staging their next business event in Denmark - be it a meeting, an incentive trip and a conference or a congress - and using the term 'business events' is a worldwide trend also picked out by our colleagues in, for example, Australia, New Zealand and Dubai.

- Business Events Denmark is still the same dedicated and enthusiatic team and we will stay true to our main objectives: to deliver innovative and competent advice how to stage meetings with the highest possible return on investment. We will continue down the MINDblowing Meetings path that we have created and focus on advocating the importance of using strategic meeting designs (Meetovation), sustainable meetings management and other elements, that we believe are key to creating succesful business events these days - and that also just happens to be some of Denmark's strongest USPs too, Møller continues.

Business Events Denmark has local representatives on market UK, US, Germany, Sweden and Norway at VisitDenmark's offices as well as a centrally located service and support team at the organisation's head office in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Steen Møller is heading the team which is busy getting ready for next week's IMEX Frankfurt 2015 (meet the Danes at stand no. F270), as well as arranging MINDFam- & Press trips to Copenhagen in June, August and December 2015, local MINDevents on the markets, next year's MPI EMEC 2016 staged in Copenhagen, and much more!
