50 Years of Queen Margrethe II

Place: Copenhagen. Dates: 10 – 16 January 2022

January marks the 50-year Jubilee of Her Royal Highness Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. The exhibition “A Queen’s Jewelry Box” will be on at the Amalienborg Museum from 13 January.

Winter Swimming Festival

Place: Skagen, Denmark. Dates: 27.01.2022 - 30.01.2022

Winter swimmers or the so called "Icebreakers“ - host the annual Skagen Winter Swimming Festival at the tip of the European continent. The Festival welcomes any true Viking and guarantees ice cold sea dips, hot drinks, a close encounter with the unique nature of Skagen.

Art Herning

Place: Herning, Denmark. Dates: 28 January 2022 – 30 January 2022

Herning is hosting one of the biggest art fairs of its kind and is arranged by the Danish Gallery Association and MCH Herning Kongrescenter. Exhibiting at the fair are some of Denmark’s leading art galleries, who bring hundreds of compositions from international, national and new talented artists.

Fashion Week & Festival

Place: Copenhagen, Denmark. Dates: 1 – 4 February 2022

Copenhagen Fashion Week is the biggest fashion event in Northern Europe and has developed into an internationally renowned event. For every Copenhagen Fashion Week, a simultaneous Copenhagen Fashion Festival takes place, which includes extraordinary exhibitions, cool street parties, mini concerts, competitions, trend shows and shopping events.

Winter Jazz

Place: All over Denmark. Dates: Dates: 3 – 27 February 2022

Winter Jazz is an annual nationwide music festival. The combination of the festival’s length and the nationwide aspect makes Winter Jazz an ideal opportunity to meet international stars on tour, new Danish award-winning projects and themes like Jazz for Kids, Future Sound of Jazz and Jazz’n’Poetry. CPH Light Festival

Place: Copenhagen, Denmark. Dates: 4 – 27 February 2022

Copenhagen Light Festival literally shows the city of Copenhagen in a new light by experimenting with colours, movement, and occasionally also sound. This will be done by bringing together a variation of forces in the making of the installations: light artists and designers, students, organisations and commercial partners.

CPH:DOX is the official name of the annual Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival, one of the largest documentary film festivals in the world. Works of major international talent will be portrayed, as well as experimental film/video works in the field between cinema and visual art.

Fair for Crime Fiction

Place: Horsens. 2 – 3 April 2022

Northern Europe’s largest festival for crime fiction, is held every Spring at FÆNGSLET, the infamous former state prison in Horsens. Visitors have the chance to meet popular Nordic/Scandinavian and international writers, publishers and speakers in a true atmosphere of crime fiction.
