This November, the Danish city of Odense will be the first European city to host the world’s largest Christmas festival.
Odense is already well known as a fairy-tale destination and the home of poet Hans Christian Andersen, so the extra Christmas magic fits perfectly. The indoor festival will take up 6,000 square metres which will all be beautifully lit up by major light decorations and interactive light exhibitions. Guests can browse the many stalls and shop for Christmas presents, enjoy live music and taste Christmas delicacies.
Glow Gardens, as the Christmas festival is called, is originally a Canadian concept which this year organises nine Christmas festivals – the other eight of which are in USA and Canada. More than one million visitors are expected across the nine Christmas festivals.
