The historic city of Hillerød in North Zealand is set to open a new 8,800 m2 combined sports and conference facility adjacent to city’s culture and sports centre, FrederiksborgCentret.
Opening in early 2020, the Hillerød Arena will seat 3,000 sports spectators (or 4,000 concertgoers) and features a VIP lounge and sky boxes in addition to 2,632 m2 floor space with room for exhibitions, events, fairs, meetings, etc. With state-of-the-art TV studio facilities, Hillerød Arena can be used to stream live events.
The city of Hillerød is home to such historic royal landmarks as Frederiksborg Castle and UNESCO World Heritage oak woodlands. Activities in the area can include boating on the castle lake and cycling on tracks through the forests by Esrum Lake.
