Cake Heaven comes to Esbjerg for the first time on Sunday, November 1, 2026. At the badminton center in Esbjerg Sport & Event Park, children and adults can explore a world of cakes, desserts, tastings, and activities. Each ticket gives admission to one two-hour session, during which you can set your own pace as you move between the cake buffet and the festival's different areas.

Taste, bake, and decorate

The large cake buffet offers the chance to sample a variety of cakes and sweet treats. In the festival's waffle bakery, you can bake your own waffle using waffle irons from Mette Blomsterberg, Shake N’ Bake waffle batter from Valsemøllen, and jam from Irma. In the cupcake workshop, both children and adults can decorate their own cupcake with frosting and decorations.

A drawing area is also being planned, where children and the young at heart can color in pictures of cupcakes. The drawings are expected to be displayed during the festival. There will also be samples of new varieties of Morten Heiberg's Irma ice cream. The dessert chef's personal appearance in Esbjerg has not been confirmed.

Talks and a chance to meet Mette Blomsterberg

The small Cake Heaven Talks stage is set to host short sessions of around 15 minutes with baking competition contestants, cake cookbook authors, and other personalities from the world of cakes. You can find inspiration, hear stories, and enjoy tastings. There may also be opportunities to buy books and have them signed.

Mette Blomsterberg is taking part in Cake Heaven 2026, and in each city, 10 lucky winners can enjoy a personal meet & greet and a goodie bag with baking equipment. The festival also has a Blomsterberg Pop Up shop where guests can find inspiration.

Baking competition with local participants

Local bakers and cake creators are invited to compete for Cake Heaven's most beautiful layer cake and most beautiful kagemand, a cake shaped like a person. Participants must bring a cake large enough to provide samples for at least 20 people. Guests help judge the cakes, and the winners receive the Cake Heaven trophy and a marketing campaign worth DKK 10,000.

More cakes and participants will be added to the program in the lead-up to the festival.
