Cassius Clay

In a shared workshop, three ceramic artists work side by side without their expressions blending into one. At Cassius Clay, it is precisely the differences in hands, glazes and forms that give the ceramics their life.

Three voices in one clay

At Cassius Clay, three ceramic artists come together in a shared studio where individuality is not smoothed out, but becomes the driving force. A ceramic universe emerges where three distinct approaches to clay create a vibrant and diverse expression.

Anne Mette Hjortshøj works with wheel-thrown and hand-built unique pieces in salt-glazed stoneware and porcelain, focusing on surface and material character. Per Andresen creates glaze decorations on both functional ware and unique works, adding depth and variation through colour and layering. Ann-Charlotte Ohlsson hand-builds in porcelain, exploring form and expression through different firing techniques.

Together, they create a space where ceramic tradition, experimentation and personality coexist – and where every piece carries the trace of its maker’s hand.
