Christmas in Nyvang
Bring the family to an old-fashioned Christmas among the decorated houses of Nyvang. Find gifts at the stalls, make decorations by the wood-burning stove, take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the village and visit Father Christmas.

Oplevelsescenter Nyvang near Holbæk is a cooperative village where you can experience how life was lived in the old days. On selected weekends before Christmas the village is decorated, and the houses, streets and workshops fill with festive atmosphere. See dates and tickets on Nyvang's Christmas page.
Christmas workshop by the stove
In the old kitchen, children can make decorations by the warm wood-burning stove: long paper chains, woven hearts and paper ladders, while a short Christmas story is read aloud. There are also creative Christmas activities for the whole family in Nyvangshuset.
Stalls, carriage rides and Father Christmas
Christmas stalls around the village sell gifts and decorations, and you can meet the village's many volunteers. Take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the decorated streets and visit Father Christmas, who is happy to hear the children's wishes.
Food and hot drinks
The Madam Blaa restaurant is open, Madam Rød serves roast pork sandwiches and hot sausages, and the sausage wagon is open in the village too.
Practical information
The Christmas event requires a day ticket; a valid season pass includes Christmas. There is a large car park at the entrance, and handcarts can be hired at the welcome centre. Dogs on a lead are welcome on the site but not inside the houses.
