Christmas Workshop for the Whole Family at Slagelse Museum
Make Christmas decorations with the children at Slagelse Museum. Stitch a heart, wrap yarn elves and cut out crawling elves – then explore the decorated Craftsmen's Street and go on a treasure hunt for the elf's belongings.

Slagelse Museum is on Bredegade in the centre of Slagelse and tells the story of the town and its craftspeople. At Christmas the museum invites the whole family to a Christmas workshop. See times and tickets on Museum Vestsjælland's page.
Handmade decorations
In the workshop you can cross-stitch a heart on felt, wrap elves from thick yarn and cut out crawling elves inspired by old workshop elves. Museum staff are on hand to help.
Craftsmen's Street and treasure hunt
The museum's Craftsmen's Street is set up as a 19th-century town and decorated for Christmas. Children can hammer nails into a tree stump and sew on a button, and the treasure hunt is about finding all the elf's belongings – with a small prize at the end.
Practical information
Buying tickets in advance is recommended; any remaining tickets are sold at the door. The workshop is on the first floor with no lift. The café and museum shop are open.
