Annual Christmas Event in the Old Quarter
Should the Christmas trip go to Haderslev? Get into the right Christmas spirit and let the journey pass through the Slotsgade Quarter.
From 16. November 2024 to 21. December 2024 the Ehlers Collection has filled the museum shop with Christmas decorations, crawling elves, and gift ideas. The courtyard is filled with spruce, straw, and coziness, and in Von Oberberg's House, you can see the most beautiful Christmas tree.
16-17 November
On the weekend of November 16th and 17th, 2024, Historie Haderslev will host "Christmas in the Courtyard" behind the Ehlers Collection, where Christmas decorations, Danish doughnuts (æbleskiver), and mulled wine (gløgg) will also be sold. Furthermore a Christmas fair will be held at Sct. Georgs Gilderne at Naffet 14b
On Saturday 16 November, there will also be a watchman's walk along Slotsgade, where you can hear more about the houses and history of the street. The meeting place is in front of the Cathedral at 11 a.m. Adults pay DKK 50 (paid to the guards), while children under 18 are free.
23-24 November
On the weekend of November 23rd and 24th, Historie Haderslev and SG25 have invited 20 artisans. Danish doughnuts (æbleskiver) and mulled wine (gløgg) will be sold at SG25 on Slotsgade 25, and there will be a Christmas fair at Sct. Georgs Gilderne at Naffet 14b, where coffee and warm waffles can be purchased.
The Museums Ehlers and Von Oberberg are open Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 16:00.
