Cycle route: Around North Langeland (30 km)
Let yourself be guided through one of Langeland’s most varied landscapes on this cycling tour, taking you through forests, open fields and idyllic villages rich in historical traces.

Lohals as a starting point
The peaceful harbour town of Lohals (junction 74) is an ideal starting point for the trip, with its carefully preserved harbour setting and tranquil atmosphere. The town exudes a summery vibe, and the well-maintained 1920s villas bear witness to a time when Copenhageners used to holiday here. Today, Lohals is popular with both yachtsmen and cyclists, and you’ll find good places to eat, enjoyable activities and unique accommodation options such as the floating shelters.
North of the town, you’ll reach the coast and a picturesque beach before the route turns into Vester Sigtehave – also known as Troldeskoven. Here, old, gnarled oak trees stand like small natural sculptures, creating a fairytale atmosphere. The area is also home to Hollænderhuset (junction 49), where a small forest museum tells the story of the region.
Villages and manor house landscape
Further to the south-east, the landscape opens up with fields and small villages. Here you will see clear traces of the agricultural reforms of the 18th century, when farms were moved out of the villages. Along the way, you pass Store Snøde (junction 34), a classic Langeland village setting, before the route approaches the coast again.
At Karskov Strand, the landscape opens up towards the Great Belt. This is the perfect spot to take a break by the clear water and enjoy the view of the sloping beech forest that reaches right down to the coast – one of North Langeland’s most atmospheric places.
Back towards Lohals
In the southern part of the route, you pass through the area around Nedergård and continue through a peaceful cultural landscape of fields, small roads and scattered settlements. Soon you’ll reach Stoense (junction 83) with its beautiful medieval church, before the route continues through open countryside and small wooded areas.
Finally, you’ll return to Lohals after a varied and scenic cycle ride through northern Langeland.
The route can be cycled in either direction, and you can choose your own starting point.
On the route, you will pass the following junctions: 74-49-84-60-82-44-50-66-45-32-83-90-74.
The cycle route has been developed by Langelands Stivenner and its development has been co-funded by the EU.
