During the German occupation, Løkken was developed into a German strongpoint group, consisting of both infantry positions and a coastal battery. Today, numerous bunkers can still be found in the outskirts of the town and in the plantation in the centre of Løkken. On the beach north of Løkken near Furreby, almost an entire coastal battery now lies exposed on the beach as the North Sea has gradually eroded the dunes. Some of the bunkers have even ended up in the sea.

During the tour, you’ll learn about the German strategy, Løkken’s fortifications and how the bunkers were built, as well as the bunkers that were constructed to protect the civilian population.
