Sæby Festival
The Sæby Festival will be held at the old slaughterhouse in Sæby on August 30, 2025. The location has been carefully chosen with the aim of creating a lasting memory and landmark after the over 100-year-old institution closed last year. The town and its history will thus form the backdrop for a festival that reaches back in time while also being visionary and forward-looking.
Sæby Festival's core values are based on offering something new that brings people together and enriches, grounded in Sæby’s history, where we can collectively create a new narrative of Sæby as a town with a rich arts and cultural scene.
Sæby Festival’s vision is to spread the art from the local area, act as a springboard, and provide access to emerging young artists from the music industry's grassroots, who may be geographically based in North Jutland, but we are also looking for other artists with a bold and original touch, to inspire listeners and spectators.
Sæby Festival nurtures art in an experimental, innovative, and creative environment with fluid boundaries, where music, poetry, and art merge into a pleasure-stimulating refuge from everyday life, and we prioritize variety and broad representation, welcoming diversity and innovation.
