Sams Island Distillery

A distillery that combines the traditional with the quirky and creative. This is where the idea arose to use orange ants from Samsø in their signature gin to give it a citrus character. They also forage the juniper berries on the island, resulting in a complex gin in a sustainable bottle made of paper. Since then, the distillery has expanded its portfolio, which now also includes corn whisky made from Samsø corn and vodka distilled from Samsø potatoes. You can join a guided tour to learn about the production and the story behind the products, with the opportunity to see, hear, smell, and taste – three samples are included.
