Esbjerg is the country’s energy metropolis and besides being the base for the oil and gas in the North Sea, the city has the world’s largest wind turbine port. Here, pioneering spirit and vigor continue to drive the impressive development. Esbjerg exudes big city life. City and harbor are bound together in the most beautiful way with the new pedestrian and bicycle path, “Landgang”, and the town center lures with a wealth of shopping, a rich café life and restaurants for every taste.

Esbjerg and the surrounding area also offer beautiful nature experiences, go for a walk in ”Dyrehaven” among the wild deer, visit the protected Marbæk area and enjoy the beautiful beach promenade at Hjerting Strand. From the city’s landmark by the water, the giant sculpture ”Man meets the sea” you wil have the best view of the entrance to Esbjerg harbor and the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea.
