Time Out Magazine asked 27,000 city-dwellers about the coolest neighborhoods, and Nørrebro in Copenhagen came out on top.

However you define ‘cool’, Nørrebro has it.”, writes contributing journalist Sorcha McCory when introducing this year’s #1. Nørrebro is a traditional working class neighborhood located on the northern side of the Copenhagen lakes, but it is also one of Copenhagen’s most vibrant and diverse neighborhoods. It is a hub for restaurants, natural wine bars and community initiatives. Over the past year, the area has seen a wave of new, innovative bakeries opening together with new restaurants like Silberbauers Bistro.
