Thy is one of ’52 Places for a Changed World’
On its 2022 list of ’52 Places’, New York Times celebrate destinations around the globe, where travelers can be a part of the solution to the challenges facing the world today. And one of these places is Thy in Northwest Denmark.

New York Times highlights how the area is leading the way for wind energy, and how the wind has also helped create the surf colony, Cold Hawaii. Additionally, they mention the Thy National Park, the local brewery Thisted Bryghus, the inn Stenbjerg Kro and the restaurant Medvind, which was opened last year serving a combination of vegetarian food and local fish and seafood.
