Denmark – The Land of Everyday Wonder

It may be small in size, but don’t let that fool you, Denmark is The Land of Everyday Wonder.

We’re consistently named one of the countries in the world with the highest quality of life, and it’s easy to see why. Our daily commutes on the thousands of kilometres of bike paths get us moving, and our unwavering commitment to getting green initiatives in action, both industrial and with our citizens, is constantly evolving. Did you know the waste from compost bins from apartments across Copenhagen fuels the city’s buses? These small wonders make up our Danish way of life.

Denmark is made up of the mainland peninsula called Jutland (which borders Germany to the South) and over 400 scattered islands. The largest of Denmark’s islands, Zealand, is where you’ll find the capital city, Copenhagen. With almost 1.4 million inhabitants, the capital takes up a large part of the total population of 5.96 million. Denmark also has its fair share of picturesque scenery with 7,314km of coastline dominated by windswept stretches of sand and dunes to the west and more calm waters in the east.

Welcome to Denmark!
