From 2020, a new congress space opens at Copenhagen Airport, where hotel developments continue apace
Copenhagen’s hotel boom continues with new developments targeted to business travellers around the airport. Especially for business travelers, Nordic Choice Hotels’ new congress centre opens in late 2020. Named ‘The Hangar’, this space will be the largest airport hotel and congress venue in northern Europe with room for 2,150 people across five separate sections which can each hold up to 400 people. Set five minutes from the metro and the airport, and connected via an indoor passage, the venue is well suited for events and international travelers.
The centre is located between Clarion Hotel Copenhagen Airport, which has meeting facilities and a ballroom seating up to 500 people, and the new 605-roomed Comfort Hotel Copenhagen Airport, due to open in August 2020.
Also currently under development, from February 2021, Scandic Hotels will be operating Scandic CPH Strandpark in a location 600m from the airport and 10m from the shoreline. The hotel will have over 375 rooms and includes restaurants, a skybar and a large wellness area including a pool, gym and sauna.
