Christmas Market in Historic Surroundings
In the old carriage stable from 1656, you can explore a carefully curated selection of stalls. Here you’ll find everything from handcrafted Christmas gnomes and baubles to knitted goods, marmalade, honey, and traditional cured sausages. The unique atmosphere of the old stables makes your shopping trip a festive experience in its own right.
Seasonal Flavours and Warming Experiences
When hunger sets in, enjoy classic Danish Christmas dishes and sweet treats in the “Brandsprøjtehuset”. Æbleskiver (traditional pancake balls), rice pudding, mulled wine and hot cocoa are served – along with the ever-popular tartlets filled with game. You can also purchase pheasants and wild ducks from the Manor’s own hunts to take home for your Christmas table.
Christmas Tree Cutting by Horse-Drawn Carriage
One of the highlights is a horse-drawn carriage ride into the forest, where you can cut your own Christmas tree. Santa’s helpers are ready with saws and will assist in netting your tree for the journey home. All trees – exclusively Nordmann firs – are clearly marked with size and price. You’ll also find tree stands and greenery for sale on the grounds.
Activities for Children and the Young at Heart
Children can go on a gnome hunt or navigate the straw maze, and the little ones can enjoy a pony ride. The whole family can also enjoy a carriage ride – either as a shared experience or in a VIP carriage, perfect for larger groups seeking a private outing.
