Due to a major cliff landslide, you are advised to exercise caution and assume responsibility for your own safety when visiting Møns Klint. Stay updated through the Danish Nature Agency.

Welcome to GeoCenter Møns Klint - Denmark’s cool science centre. Learn and play your way through Denmark’s astonishing past - 70 million years back in time. Join the hunt for ferocious dinosaurs and learn about the Tertiary Period when meteor showers and super-volcanoes wiped out ⅔ of all life, about the Quaternary Period with its ginormous ice glaciers and the creation of the amazing nature - and the most stunning nature in Denmark at Møns Klint.

More than 20 activities await adventurers of all ages - plenty experiences for more than one visit!

When you are standing on the top of Møns Klint - 128 metres above the sea - you are also standing on top of the chalk foundation of Denmark. Uniquely, Denmark lies on a platform of chalk. Møns Klint is evidence of the powerful forces that created the country and the unique flora and fauna in the area.

Only few places offer such diverse nature and well-preserved cultural heritage on a space of 450 squarekilometres as Møn, the surrounding islands and waters. From the chalk cliffs of Møns Klint, the peninsula Ulvshale and Nyord meadows to the Baltic Sea with bays, fjords to the starry sky, where on clear nights one can look through the milky way to the next galaxy. All this is part of the Møn Biosphere Reserve and Dark Sky Park. Enjoy your stay, experience nature, explore the culture and be inspired by the engaged people in the Møn Biosphere area.

A UNESCO biosphere reserve is internationally recognized and characterized by a rare wealth of landscapes and species, including many particularly vulnerable animals and plants. In the Møn Biosphere Reserve you have the unique opportunity to discover most Danish landscapes and species during your stay. This offers unique experiences and is a gift that has to be protected in partnership between the locals and the guests. Therefore, you should always pay attention to the rules for the protection and use of nature. At the same time it offers you knowledge and ideas to contribute to nature protection and you can help us to register species by sharing your photos and discoveries with us.
