Gjellergaard - Homestead farm

The restored building stands as a representative of the West Jutland fisherman's building style. The old part of the farm is arranged as a hometown museum, where there is an exhibition and sale of handicrafts, amber, wool, jewelry and more.

A sheepfold, built in 1996, houses a collection of old agricultural and fishing gear. In addition, an old Limfjord boat and a tar plant have been exhibited.

Gjellergaard is decorated as you think it looked around the year 1900. Everything that is found of old furniture is donated by people in the area.

In the rebuilt barn you can buy coffee and good old-fashioned home baking.

Gjellergaard is located on Planetstien's route in a beautiful and distinctive landscape with a view of Underbjerg, Lemvig town and the hills around Kabbel.

A memorial stone to Thøger Larsen, a poet from Lemvig, has been erected in the stands south of Gjellergaard.
