Historical charm and romance on the Danish island Orø.

The historical Inn, Orø Inn, was built on the island Orø in 1720. The little island of only 14 km2 is full of beautiful, unspoiled landscapes and charming local farm shops, artists, restaurantd and other businesses, like Orø Inn.

The inn is next to the church, because, originally, it was the wife of the priest, who took initiative to build the inn. Since then, the inn has changed owners many times, until 2017 when it was bought by its current owner, entrepreneur and engineer, Michael Kousted.

Today the inn serves gourmet dishes with the best ingredients of the season and traditional Danish dishes. The island is just a 30 minute boat trip from Holbæk and just 6 minutes by boat from Hammer Bakke in West Zealand.
