Rescue station Lyngby
The rescue station in Lyngby in Thy National Park was established in 1882.
In the period 1920-1946, the fishing village had a lifeboat.
The station was closed in 1975.
Lyngby used to be a small fishing village. The Danish Nature Agency owns the old Rescue Station.
You will find the rescue station at Redningsvejen behind the sea dune.
Hiking, cycling and riding routes
Both north and south of Lyngby you can walk along the old rescue road, which was built for the use of the rescue crew when they were going out to a stranding.
