Visit the rose festival in Bogense the first weekend in August at 10-17! The whole city is decorated with roses and there are many beautiful decorations.
This year's theme is Around Denmark, and the countesses of Rosenborg will open this year's festival on Saturday 7 August at 10 at Bogense Town Hall. Then they will perform the baptism of a rose on Bogense Torv. This year's guests of honour are Keld and Hilda Heick, who will be received at Bogense Town Hall on Sunday 8 August. Keld Heick has written the text for the Rose waltz of the Rose festival.
There are more and more rose decorations every year. There are always many beautiful roses to look at, and when the festival ends on Sunday afternoon, you can buy the roses that have been used to decorate the streets.
This year, due to corona restrictions, there will be no market.
But there will be beautiful rose decorations in the streets and rose exhibitors.
At City Hall, Estilo Design adorns the City Hall with a beautiful rose table and fascinating rose dresses and rose designs.
In the multi-purpose hall at Bogense School, there is an exhibition with the beautiful works by artist Nina Ferlov, who exhibits her watercolor paintings and embroideries on silk remnants, with motifs of plants and flowers.
