Tadre Mill shelter site
Spend the night in open countryside at Tadre Mølle (Tadre Mill) and enjoy the tranquillity close to river, forest and historic surroundings.

Shelter accommodation at Tadre Mill
The nature camp consists of three shelters accommodating a total of approximately 18–20 adults. The shelters are arranged in a semicircle on a meadow by the river, with the forest close by and Tadre Mill just a short walk away.
Booking and practical information
Overnight stays require advance booking and prepayment. When booking, the entire site with all three shelters is reserved from 10.00 am to 10.00 am the following day, regardless of group size. During the school summer holidays, the site is reserved for hikers on a first come, first served basis.
Please note that access to drinking water and toilets is closed from 1 November to 31 March, and the site cannot be booked during this period.
Nature and cultural heritage
Tadre Mill is a well-preserved historic watermill and part of ROMU, a regional museum organisation. The surrounding landscape of open meadows, flowing water and rich wildlife provides a peaceful and atmospheric setting for your stay.
Directions and nearby routes
Parking is available approximately 250 metres from the shelters, with the option for short-term unloading closer to the mill. Several well-known walking and cycling routes pass nearby, including Istidsruten (the Ice Age Route), Munkevejen (the Monks’ Route) and Gudernes Stræde (The Path of the Gods), making the nature camp an ideal stop along your route.
