Bar Tapas - Running Tapas
Bar Tapas in Odense serves a set menu of small cold and warm dishes that arrive at the table gradually throughout the evening. Inspired by the Spanish tapas tradition and combined with Danish ingredients and flavours, the restaurant offers a dining experience built around a variety of courses rather than a single main dish.

Tapas served gradually throughout the meal
At Bar Tapas, guests do not choose individual dishes from a traditional tapas menu. Instead, dinner consists of a set menu that changes regularly and reflects the season. The meal typically begins with freshly baked bread before the cold dishes are served. The warm courses then follow one at a time, and the evening concludes with dessert. This approach keeps new flavours arriving throughout the meal, allowing the dining experience to unfold naturally from start to finish.
Allow around an hour and a half for your visit. On Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant operates with fixed seating times, so it is worth keeping your reservation time in mind when planning the rest of your day in Odense.
Spanish inspiration with a Danish touch
While tapas and Spanish flavours provide the foundation, Bar Tapas is not a traditional Spanish restaurant. The menus combine inspiration from Spanish cuisine with Danish ingredients and culinary influences, and they change throughout the year.
Wine, sangria and dining in the heart of Odense
To accompany your meal, you can choose from a selection of Spanish wines by the glass or bottle, as well as a wine pairing menu. Sangria, cocktails, beer and non-alcoholic alternatives are also available.
Bar Tapas is located on Jernbanegade in central Odense, within walking distance of the railway station, the city centre and several of the city's cultural attractions.
