Bregnesøen
Bregnesøen is beautifully surrounded by forest and bogland west of the railway, opposite the Den Jyske Skovhave south of Skørping. Here, you will find a peaceful nature area with open glades, water and distinctive plant life.
Large parts of the lake are covered with white water lilies with yellow stamens, and the bog around the lake creates an open clearing in the forest where sunlight reaches the water. The area is also bordered by forest and the railway line between Skørping and Arden.
Bregnesøen is an acidic bog with rich plant life. Cotton grass is especially characteristic of the area in early summer, when its white tufts spread across the bog surfaces. The same can be seen in several nearby bog areas, including Dragmosen.
Bregnesøen is an ideal stop for anyone who wants to experience a quiet and slightly hidden part of Rold Skov’s nature. The lake can be found on the map of Rold Skov.
Not far from Bregnesøen, parking is available, as well as access to a public toilet.
