Canoe trip to Himmelbjerget
Experience Himmelbjerget from the waterside with a 4-hour trip from Ry.
The canoe trip takes about 2 hours each way, and on this tour you will experience beautiful views of the Himmelbjerget tower as well as forests and towns around Julsø.
Start your trip in Ry – from here it is 7 km to the foot of Himmelbjerget, which can be reached in about 2 hours by canoe each way. Enjoy the trip past Ry Marina and continue on Birksø, past the Alling Vest nature reserve, and out onto Julsø.
Lovely rest stops along the route
Halfway through the trip, you will reach the Alling Vest nature reserve, where there are toilets, a campfire site, and a campsite.
Before heading out onto Julsø, there is a small rest area by bridge no. 53.
Near Himmelbjerget, there is also a rest area. You can find it to the left inside the bay by bridge no. 52.
If you want to climb Himmelbjerget, you can leave the canoe behind bridge no. 51 to the left of the tour boats or at the small sandy beach to the right of the tour boats when you have reached the foot of Himmelbjerget.
