Experience Christmas as it used to be

Step inside Jollmands Gaard in Holm on Als and discover how Christmas was celebrated in years gone by, with traditional baking, crafts and festive customs in a historic farmhouse.

Watch klejner being made on the old stove and sample Gode Råd, a traditional type of biscuit from Sønderjylland. As you explore the rooms, you can see skilled craftspeople spinning wool, making lace and weaving.

Christmas activities for children

There's plenty of Christmas fun for younger visitors too. Explore the nisse hideaway, listen to Christmas stories and join a treasure hunt around Jollmands Gaard.

It's a chance for children and adults alike to discover the Christmas traditions that have been part of rural life for generations.

Christmas market and Christmas trees

Browse the stalls at the Christmas market, try your luck at the tombola and pick up a Christmas tree to take home.

The event combines a traditional Christmas market with the chance to explore a historic Als farmhouse, where traditional crafts and Christmas customs are still brought to life.

Christmas trees will also be on sale every Saturday until 19 December, from 9.30am to 11.30am and 1pm to 3pm
