Heart Trees at Nyborg Cemetery during Advent
As has become a beloved tradition in recent years at Nyborg Cemetery on Kronprinsensgade, a couple of Christmas trees and a storytelling bench will be set up throughout Advent and the holiday season. Here, children and adults can sit together, remember loved ones, and write a loving message on a red heart to hang on the tree. Signs from the entrance gate will lead the way to the heart trees.

Sunday 29 November

14:00–15:00: Advent Service for Children & Families – and Creative Christmas Workshop
Following the children's Advent service in the church, join us for some festive holiday cheer with treats and a creative Christmas workshop in Korsbrødregården, hosted by church and culture coordinator Stine Frederiksen. The event is free and requires no registration. Nyborg Church’s Girls' Choir will perform during the service.

Saturday 5 December

16:00–17:15: Christmas Concert with Cæcilie Norby
When jazz vocalist Cæcilie Norby performs at Nyborg Church (Vor Frue Kirke) this December afternoon, expect a magical mix of stardust from her iconic Blue Note years and a touch of Christmas spirit. The concert lasts approx. 75 minutes. Tickets are 150 DKK and can be purchased at www.nyborgkirke.dk or at the door.

Saturday 12 December

15:00–16:00: Christmas Sing-Along
A cozy community sing-along featuring well-known Christmas hymns and carols, led by church organist Gitte Berggren and one of the church’s vocalists. The afternoon also includes a short Christmas story, coffee, and traditional Christmas cookies. Free admission.

Sunday 13 December

16:00–17:00: St. Lucia Service
An atmospheric service featuring a traditional St. Lucia procession with the Nyborg Church Girls' Choir and choirs from Nyborg Music School.

Sunday 20 December

16:00–17:00: Nine Lessons and Carols (De 9 Læsninger)
A traditional Christmas musical service featuring scripture readings spanning from the Creation to the birth of Jesus, interspersed with congregational Christmas hymns and choral pieces performed by the Nyborg Church High Mass Choir, directed by organist Claus Tolstrup.
