For the eighth year running, the Christmas ship Svanen is setting sail

The Christmas ship Svanen is decked out from bow to stern, brimming with Christmas spirit. Outside, fairy lights illuminate the ship in the winter darkness, whilst Christmas trees, elven scenes and festive decorations create a cosy atmosphere inside.

Along the way, local guides share stories about both the old and the new Aarhus. From the water, you’ll gain a different perspective on the city and hear, amongst other things, about the development of Aarhus Harbour and the modern district of Aarhus Ø.

On all Christmas cruises, you can buy steaming mulled wine, warm apple fritters and hot chocolate with whipped cream. The cruise is suitable for both children and adults and is a cosy way to experience Aarhus during the festive season – including the days between Christmas and New Year.

This year’s first Christmas cruise sets sail on 7 November, and the Christmas Ship will continue to operate right up until 30 December – including Christmas cruises between Christmas and New Year.

The Christmas ship Svanen has good access facilities for people with walking difficulties. Caregivers sail for free (on regular harbour tours only) upon presentation of a carer’s card, which can be booked online alongside other tickets.

The ship does not sail on 24, 25 and 26 December.
