Connectedness
This artwork, made by the artist Martin Schräder is showing two figures in a relaxed position.
This work of art is found at Nordborg City Park near the castle, it is one of the 7 art designs within the art project “Reflections”, a more permanent celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the Reunion in 1920.
The figures are made of the nature material Anröchter Dolomite and partially coloured by ink. Each of the figures measures 2.2 x 0.9 x 0.9 metres.
The art project “Reflections” is financed by Fabrikant Mads Clausens Fond and the art design “Connectedness” is sponsored by the local firm Linak A/S.
The inauguration of the artwork is a bit of a reunion story of its own. The first date for the inauguration was cancelled due to the COVID-19 lockdown in Denmark.
The inauguration was 26 September 2020.
